Add a IO device on the Profinet network


Some equipment is created automatically by the standard (by Automatic child) and it is necessary to complete the hardware configuration by adding equipment.


  • Right click on the PN-IO network


  • Add a module and a IO sub module



For I/O modules, a specific screen appears. It allows to assign the mnemonics from the Odil base on the terminal block of the module.


  1. List of items to wire without address, compatible with the current hardware module (Input, output, digital, safety...). 
  2. Selecting a value from the drop-down list allows you to filter the items to be wired displayed
  3. Terminal block of the module with the different available addresses
  4. Command to Affect or Remove an item on a address.

You can also drag and drop an item on a free address. You can select multiple items at once, the order of selection will be respected when assigning.
