MS Word software is used inside Odil to build documents such as the detailed functional analysis or the operator manual. it is necessary to install and register MS Word license for the use of Odil.


When selecting the Detail Functional Analysis trade, MS Word is used as the editor in the right window:



  1. The tree presents each chapter of the document. Selecting a node causes the chapter to be loaded in the editor


  1. Editing area of the selected chapter. The content of the chapter is initialized by the standard. Manual additions using the MS Word tool are usually required


  1. Details of the properties linked to the chapter


Depending on the different entries made in the Odil database, chapters, tables, pictures and text will be automatically generated.


At any time, it is possible to extract from odil the document in "docx" format (File > Export).

A modification made in the Word document outside Odil cannot be recovered. 

A viewer version of Odil allows to edit the document and modify texts only.
